Moab Easter Safari 2010

 What a fantastic trip we had out to Moab Easter Jeep Safari!  The Rubicon Express Semi truck and trailer worked perfectly, weather was pretty good, and we able to talk with so many people during the week at our in town booth.  Rubicon Express had the opportunity to spend much more focused time to answer questions and take people for rides in our vehicles for a first hand experience on how the RE product performs. Getting out on the trail was a priority for each day and was especially enjoyable because of all of the new faces and friends made along the way. Had a chance to hang out with some of the “magazine guys” on a quick impromptu trail ride and had a ton of fun although the wind was gusting so hard I think we almost lost one of the editors…  A lottery earlier in the year for position on the exclusive “Rubicon Express trail run” provided fresh talent and was big hit, everyone had a great time! (special thanks Clifton Slay for leading the trail) Rubicon Express was lucky to have the 20 driver spots filled with such great people with varied experience levels, we celebrated that afternoon with an “open to all” bbq with sirloin burgers, hot dogs, etc… it was really something special. Thanks again go out to all who came by to see us and we hope to see you all out there again next year to see if we can pack in even more fun into such a short amount of time.

Rubicon Express had a great time out at King of the Hammers 2010. When we arrived at the lake bed on Monday afternoon none of us could believe our eyes! There were thousands of trailers, Jeeps, and all types of off-road rigs already there and out enjoying the unique terrain of Johnson Valley. We spent Tuesday exploring the race course and talking with the racers and the various vendors that were setting up. Wednesday was set up for us and then we tracked down our sponsored driver Kevin Yoder and got a chance to hear about his race strategies and snap a few candid pics. Thursday the vendor show started and it was great to see all of the spectators coming through to check out the various products and deals that were being offered.  The early spring weather in the valley was about as good as you could hope for on Friday the day of the race, it felt like an early summer day with clear skies and warm temperatures.  Congrats to all the finishing racers and especially to our own Kevin Yoder starting at 51st position and finishing 13th; Kevin stopped out in the middle of the race to help a vehicle get righted after a harsh roll-over- what a guy! Great job Kevin and thanks for supporting Rubicon Express out at the 2010 King of the Hammers!  We had a great time out at the event getting a chance to talk with so many people, hanging out in the beauty of the valley, and watching the insanity of the race in action.Big thanks go out to all that supported KOH and Rubicon Express this year and we will be looking forward to seeing you all out there for 2011.

Had a great time up in the mountains with the Cal 4WD members doing what we love to do; wheeling, eating, talking with friends a just having a good time.  Check out some of the pictures from our remote control RC rock crawl course and the awesome images from the Klondike Extreme Run that was expertly led by Scott Arentz from Extreme Gear in Sacramento.  We all had a great time and if you were not there we all hope you can make it up for next years event.

Come have some fun up in Grass Valley Ca with Rubicon Express and the California Association of 4wd club Jan 15th through the 17th. Rubicon Express will be at the fairgrounds Friday night providing literature on our suspension products and to keep things extra fun we will be providing an off-road remote control race course complete with Losi 1/24th scale micro crawlers for the kids and the kids at heart (adults). Remote control 4X4′s will be awarded after the races end! Special thanks go out to Dwight at Fasttrack Hobbies  (http://www.fthobbies.com ) in Citrus Heights for the great deal on the cars we will be giving out on Friday night.  Don’t forget the great wheeling there is to be had over the weekend from historic trail runs to extreme terrain; there is plenty of snow and Rubicon Express will be up on the trails with at least 3 of our equipped rigs having fun.  Hope to see you out at the 2010 Winter funfest!
